About Allied Health services Allied Health at Cabrini is a rapidly expanding and highly integrated service comprising twelve professional disciplines. The department plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across the organisation. What the role involves In our rotation program, you will enjoy supportive four-month rotations, which include opportunities to work with diverse patient cohorts across the health service continuum. These include acute rotations in orthopaedics and paediatrics, critical care including ICU, oncology, general medicine and neurology; as well as sub-acute rotations within inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation and rehabilitation in the home. Our grade one rotational positions are supported by a comprehensive supervision program, which includes one on one mentoring, in services, technical skills workshops and a professional development allowance for participation in external courses. Key responsibilities: Contribute to the delivery of high quality, compassionate, competent clinical services in existing Cabrini inpatient and community-based services Provide patient-centred physiotherapy to clients, including thorough assessment, appropriate treatment, evaluation of therapy techniques and accurate documentation Work with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe and appropriate discharge planning Participate in departmental and program quality activities, and show a commitment to learning and self-development Effectively communicate with other members of the team through comprehensive handovers, clinical documentation, completion of daily statistics and sharing ideas at team meetings What we're looking for We are looking for a dynamic Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join our team at Cabrini, who is passionate about providing high quality patient centred care in line with our Cabrini mission and values You will have: A physiotherapy degree, as well as current registration with AHPRA Experience working in an acute and sub-acute hospital environments with different patient cohorts including orthopaedics, general surgical and general medical cohorts Experience assessing and discharge planning complex patients Strong team approach and good communication skills within a multi-disciplinary team An ability to inspire, influence, and motivate patients Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure and prioritise workloads, with a flexible team-based approach to patient care What we offer: Salary packaging : up to $15,900 tax-free each year, plus $2650 meal & entertainment card benefits Convenience : Vibrant Malvern location, close to local shops, cafes and public transport Travel Perks : Myki Commuter discounted fares A commitment to health and well-being initiatives including discounted access to a wide range of gyms, pools, and fitness facilities through Fitness Passport Access to a range of retail offers, discounted hospital services and savings on eligible private health fund services Interested?
