Protech are looking for experienced Steel Fixers to perform work with our client, located in Bundamba on a local bridge construction project. You will be working on the Bremer River Bridge project. Key features for this project include: Install additional edge girders and cross girders Replace fatigue-prone welded connections with bolted steel plates Repair welds on approach span piers Resurface the bridge deck Upgrade the bridge safety barrier ABOUT THE ROLE Immediate start date available Casual, 50 hours per week Opportunity to move to permanent employment Monday-Friday 6:30am-5pm Penalties and allowances apply KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Steel fixing and tying reinforcement Responsible for fabricating, positioning, and securing steel reinforcement bars and mesh Strengthening concrete components to increase structural integrity of bridge Assisting with concrete pours and finishing Maintain a safe and clean work environment TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Construction white card Drivers licence & reliable transport Min 4 years of steel fixing experience – bridge or structures experience preferred Additional tickets – i.e. Work at Heights and Confined Space preferred HOW TO APPLY?
