The role will cover the development, running and overseeing of two workshop locations, Melbourne and Brisbane. The positions scope revolves around providing Top-Tier service/support while running as a profitable venture. To succeed in this role you'll have to be a true leader-of-men/people. The role requires mechanic experience, business acumen, brilliant communication skills, vision and of course the Golden-Touch. The role has a very-exciting future mapped out. Candidate Requirements This position covers the following areas of expertise, Technical knowledge, Workshop leadership & development, P&L/reporting. The environment's fast-paced and dynamic with a strong customer focus. True leadership and workshop mastery are essential. Also required for this position- Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle/Truck Mechanic is the minimum. Minimum of 5-years' experience operating a Heavy Vehicle Workshop and covering all aspects. Including experience dealing with Tier 1 clients. In depth technical knowledge of heavy vehicles, exposure to next-generation heavy vehicle technology high-regarded, but not essential. Interest in embracing next gen. heavy vehicle green technology, is essential. The experience and knowledge to lead and develop workshop operations across two locations being, Melbourne and Brisbane. The ability to build, develop, motivate and bring the best out of workshop teams. Provide true leadership and support to workshop members. The ability to achieve ideal workshop outcomes while working within WH&S and other operational constraints. Experience with workshop Profit & Loss, reporting and/or business unit operation. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and up-to-date computer skills. A pro-active approach to tasks at hand with the ability to make things happen.
