At AusHealth, our work has purpose, and our Hospital Billing division plays a critical role in ensuring us to continue funding life-changing research. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Billing Manager to lead and optimise our Billing Team. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of all billing functions, ensuring accurate and timely claims processing, revenue maximisation, dispute resolution, internal controls, and compliance with AusHealth and client performance requirements. The Billing Manager will: Oversee end-to-end billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely claims processing within agreed service levels Monitor aged and un-invoiced amounts, resolving discrepancies and errors promptly Maintain accurate billing records, reporting, KPI tracking and monthly performance reporting Develop and maintain SOPs, internal controls and governance frameworks Ensure compliance with regulatory, data security and AusHealth requirements Lead resolution of invoice disputes and denied/rejected claims within agreed timeframes Partner closely with hospital clients and senior stakeholders to maintain strong, solution-focused relationships Lead, develop and support a high-performing Billing Team This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role requiring both operational precision and commercial insight. About You To be successful in this role, you will be comfortable to: Lead and develop a specialist billing team in a fast-paced environment Take full ownership of revenue cycle performance and KPI compliance Manage disputes and escalations with professionalism and commercial acumen Implement strong internal controls and governance frameworks Drive continuous improvement and innovation Communicate confidently with clients, executives and cross-functional teams Essential Experience & Skills Proven experience leading billing or accounts receivable teams Strong knowledge of claims management and revenue cycle processes Experienced in developing SOPs and maintaining compliance controls Technologically proficient with systems to optimise efficiency Excellent communication skills Accounting, Finance, or related qualification Desirable Health Fund billing or accounts receivable experience Experience in medical, hospital, insurance, or related industries Advanced MS Excel skills Knowledge of Health Insurance, Medicare, OVA, TAC/WorkSafe billing processes Please complete the application and answer the screening questions to ensure your application is prioritised.
