The right candidate will be responsible for: The right candidate will be responsible for: Assist pastry chefs with preparation of desserts, pastries, and baked goods; Demonstrate a range of pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and finishing; Minimise wastage through careful portioning and ingredient control; Train junior pastry staff on plating, baking methods, and presentation standards; Collaborate with the head chef and management to plan and update dessert menus; Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed; Supervise pastry kitchen staff and coordinate daily tasks; Liaise with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service; Prepare, bake, and finish items such as cakes, pastries, breads, and desserts; Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, labelled, and rotated; Manage pastry section operations, including stock control, ordering, and scheduling; About you: At least 1 year of experience as a Pastrycook; Strong pastry and baking skills, with the ability to manage kitchen operations; Ability to supervise pastry staff, manage workflow, and coordinate orders efficiently; Strong creativity in developing desserts and supporting the pastry team during service; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams; Job type: Permanent/full-time Salary: $76,000 - $82,000
