About the Position: The Youth Worker plays a vital role within Abled Care’s NDIS programs by assisting young participants—particularly those with disabilities—to overcome social, emotional, and practical challenges in an agency framework. This full-time position involves assessing individual needs, developing tailored support programs, and facilitating community engagement to promote independence, resilience, and social inclusion. The role is essential in helping young people achieve their goals, build confidence, and lead enriched lives as valued members of the Central Coast community. Key Responsibilities: Assisting young people to identify and resolve social, emotional, and financial problems through individual or group support. Assessing clients’ needs and planning, developing, and implementing educational, training, and support programs. Providing emotional guidance and building resilience and coping skills in line with NDIS goals. Facilitating access to community resources, activities, and services to enhance participation and inclusion. Monitoring progress, maintaining accurate records, and reporting outcomes to support coordinators and families. Collaborating with families, NDIS planners, and other agencies to deliver holistic, person-centred outcomes. Requirements: Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply. Diploma qualification in Youth Work, Community Services, Disability, or a related field. Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with young people from diverse backgrounds.
