Wollondilly Support and Community Care Incorporated (t/as IC CARE) is a community based not for profit organisation that provides the following services: Meals on Wheels, Social Support Individual/Neighbour Aid, Social Support Groups, NDIS services to the community of Wollondilly and Camden. IC CARE has the opportunity to employ a Casual Support Worker to facilitate HCP client’s or NDIS participants’ goals and services. The role will include, but is not limited to, tasks such as: · Providing one to one support for HCP Clients or NDIS participants - weekday, evenings and weekends available. · Ensure supports are as per participants goals and support notes provided to head office. · Ensure the supports meet and maintains all Work Health and Safety requirements. · Ensure the support complies with the NDIS Legislation and Aged Care Act. Key Selection Criteria: · Provide evidence of Certificate III in related field and/or experience in the industry. · Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) incorporating the Consumer Directed Care and Person-Centred Approach · Demonstrate ability to build and maintain relationships both in the workplace and the community. · Demonstrate and provide examples of good communication and written skills. · Demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of boundaries and confidentiality when working with clients, client’s family, and their care teams. · Demonstrated experience with a cross selection of clients e.g. CALD, Aboriginal, Dementia, Mental Health, Frail Aged, Younger People with a Disability and their Carers. · Provide evidence of a current NSW Drivers Licence and have access to a fully registered and insured vehicle. · Provide evidence of NDIS Worker Screening Check. · Provide evidence of current First Aid Certificate. · Provide evidence of COVID-19 and flu vaccinations. Desired Requirements: · Experience in working with people with a disability. · Experience working with complex mental health/complex behaviours. This position is subject to a National Police Check. The pay structure for this role will be governed by the SCHADS award Level 2 and will include salary packaging and superannuation.
