Morgan Consulting is delighted to partner exclusively with a high-growth global food and supply chain organisation as they look to appoint a Senior Procurement Business Partner across a large indirect portfolio, the incumbent will play a key role in building and embedding strategic procurement as the functions matures. This is a rare opportunity for a commercially astute procurement professional who enjoys operating with autonomy while influencing enterprise-wide outcomes. The role will move beyond traditional sourcing, partnering closely with operational and leadership stakeholders to shape demand, build category strategies and deliver measurable cost and performance improvements across a complex indirect spend portfolio. You will be instrumental in helping transition procurement from a reactive function into a strategic business partner within a fast-scaling, globally integrated environment. Key Responsibilities: Reporting into senior procurement leadership, you will be responsible for: Partner with business leaders to understand cost drivers and influence commercial decision-making Develop and execute category strategies across large and complex indirect spend areas Lead end-to-end sourcing activity including supplier engagement, negotiation and contract execution Build robust business cases aligned to financial and operational objectives Drive cost optimisation initiatives and validate savings in partnership with Finance Establish governance frameworks and increase spend under management Implement structured sourcing methodologies and procurement discipline Manage supplier performance and identify opportunities for value creation Support transformation initiatives across procurement and broader supply chain functions Contribute to embedding procurement as a strategic function across the organisation About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Proven experience in procurement, category management or commercial sourcing roles Track record delivering multi-million-dollar savings and commercial outcomes Strong stakeholder engagement capability with the ability to influence senior leaders Experience operating across complex indirect spend categories (e.g. logistics, packaging, MRO, services) High level of commercial acumen and financial literacy Ability to operate autonomously within fast-paced, evolving environments Strategic mindset balanced with hands-on execution capability Background within manufacturing, FMCG, logistics or food production environments will be highly regarded What’s on Offer Opportunity to shape and influence procurement capability within a high-growth global organisation High-impact role with enterprise visibility and strong executive engagement Exposure to complex, large-scale indirect spend portfolios Autonomous role with genuine scope to drive change and improvement Competitive salary of $180,000 – $190,000 superannuation To apply, please click APPLY or contact Sebastian Dahan at sdahan@morganconsulting.com.au for a confidential discussion.
