About the Role: Reporting to the Executive Director Strategy and Integrity , the Manager Regional Partnerships provides strategic leadership across: Economic Development Communications, Engagement and Advocacy Key responsibilities will include: Motivate and lead high-performing, multidisciplinary teams Deliver strategies aligned to the Community Vision and Council Plan Position South Gippsland for economic growth and the emerging energy transition Drive investment attraction, business growth and priority place-based initiatives Modernise communication and engagement approaches to strengthen community participation and trust Oversee media, digital and engagement programs Lead advocacy to secure government funding and policy outcomes Build strong partnerships across all levels of government, industry and the community Represent Council in senior forums and regional collaborations About You - Your Success Profile: An established record of building and leading high-performing teams In-depth insight into economic and policy landscapes at local, regional, and national levels, including legislation and emerging trends impacting communities Broad expertise in economic development, advocacy, engagement, and communications, with proven experience driving regional growth and energy transition initiatives Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior levels Track record delivering strategic initiatives with measurable outcomes Strong commercial and financial acumen, including managing significant budgets Sound judgement in navigating complex and sensitive issues Values-driven leader who builds capability, leads change and drives high performance Tertiary qualifications in economic development, business, communications, public policy or a related discipline would be highly regarded for this role. Experience working within a large, complex or similar environment would be necessary.
