Lumia Care is seeking a reliable and compassionate Support Worker to assist a client living with limited vision and recovering from a recent stroke. The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, and confident providing both in-home and community-based support. What We’re Looking For: Experience supporting clients with Traumatic Brain Injury young & Adul t, vision impairment , stroke recovery , or mobility limitations Travel from 1st client to another (Build Your Roster) Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care (highly regarded) Strong communication and observational skills Patience, reliability, and a gentle approach to care Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (essential) Your Role Includes: Domestic Assistance & Cleaning Cooking Skills General household cleaning and tidying Light meal preparation as required Personal Care & Hygiene Support and guidance when getting in and out of the shower (Male & Female client) Assist with client showers, standby assistance required to ensure safety and comfort Transport & Community Access Transport clients & Community Access Support with grocery shopping and medical appointments Encourage participation in social and recreational activities Emotional Support Provide reassurance and calm presence if client becomes unsettled Promote confidence, independence, and wellbeing Mandatory Requirements: Current First Aid Certificate Car Registration & Car Insurance Police Check NDIS Worker Screening Check Working with Children Check Full Australian Work Rights
