Location: parkdale Working Hours: Permanent-Full-time Salary Offered: 70000-80000 Position Overview: cook plan and organize the preparation and cooking of food in dining and catering establishments. Key Responsibilities: ⦁ Developing Menus: Plan and create diverse menus that highlight creativity and quality. ⦁ Cost Management: Estimate food and labour costs and manage to budget effectively. ⦁ Food Supply Ordering: Order and oversee the procurement of food supplies. ⦁ Quality Control: Monitor the quality of dishes throughout all stages of preparation and presentation. ⦁ Collaboration: Discuss food preparation concerns with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen and waitstaff to ensure seamless operations. ⦁ Technique Demonstration: Show and advise on cooking techniques and procedures. ⦁ Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals with skill and attention to detail. ⦁ Hygiene Compliance: Explain and enforce hygiene regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. ⦁ Staff Management: Select, train, and mentor kitchen staff to uphold high culinary standards. ⦁ Food Preservation: Manage the freezing and preservation of foods when necessary.
