SOFTWARE ENGINEER Assure Consulting AU | Woolloomooloo NSW 2011 | Full-Time Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 Super About the Opportunity Assure Consulting AU is recruiting a skilled Software Engineer on behalf of our client, a dynamic and growing technology organisation based in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to meaningful software projects within a collaborative and innovative team environment. Key Responsibilities Design and develop clean, efficient, and maintainable software solutions based on user and business requirements. Write and execute unit, integration, and system tests to ensure software quality and reliability prior to deployment. Design and implement APIs, microservices, and third-party integrations for seamless system communication. Participate in peer code reviews and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders in an Agile environment. Diagnose and resolve software defects, performance issues, and system errors in a timely manner. Monitor, maintain, and enhance existing applications with patches, updates, and improvements aligned to business needs. Prepare and maintain technical documentation including system specifications, design documents, and release notes. Adhere to development standards, security best practices, and stay current with emerging technologies and trends. Requirements Minimum 3 years' experience in software engineering. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages and frameworks. Solid experience with API design, RESTful services, and system integration. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
