Our client, a well-established D&C building contractor with a strong presence across Queensland, is seeking a Design Manager to play a key role in their expanding operations. The Design Manager will be instrumental in coordinating design processes across early contractor involvement (ECI), value management, and tender preparation, while also providing hands-on support to resolve construction challenges on-site. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the design process from concept through to construction, ensuring project efficiency and quality. Act as the key interface between site teams and external architects, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration. Provide sketches and drawings to support construction teams in resolving design issues and lead value management exercises to optimise design outcomes. Assist with tender preparation, contributing to design strategies that enhance project success. Work on-site as needed to resolve real-time construction challenges with practical design solutions. About You: Experience in multi-residential, commercial, and institutional projects (schools, medical facilities, multi-residential units) Relevant software experience, you will possess strong ability to interpret and produce design solutions. Experience working across design coordination and construction delivery. Excellent communication skills to liaise between site teams, clients, and external consultants, and a proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail and design feasibility. What’s on Offer?
