MAC River is a residential rehabilitation service for young people aged 13-18 who are experiencing chronic drug and alcohol issues. The service provides trauma informed and culturally safe support for twelve weeks in residence, followed by six months of aftercare in the community. We are seeking an experienced and values‑driven Program Manager to lead the Mac River team and ensure high‑quality, compliant, and outcomes‑focused service delivery. You'll lead a dedicated team, ensuring they deliver exceptional care and support. Your role is pivotal in driving performance, maintaining compliance, and reporting on impactful outcomes. Your key responsibilities will be to: Leading, managing, and developing the team through values‑based leadership and ongoing supervision Ensuring high‑quality, contractually compliant service delivery in line with program guidelines, AOD best practice, and child‑safe principles Coordinating residential program operations and aftercare support to achieve positive client outcomes. Managing program budgets, expenditure, reporting, and compliance requirements Building strong relationships with internal teams, local community stakeholders, and partner services. Driving a culture of openness, accountability, and continuous improvement Complete rostering for 24/7 residential service, utilising online system and in line with Mission Australia HR policies Provide on call support to the service as part of a rotating roster Requirements for Success Proven leadership in managing diverse teams within 24/7 residential rehabilitation or youth services Relevant degree or qualification in community services, AOD or youth work Demonstrated experience working with young people experiencing complex issues Demonstrated ability to deliver service outcomes on time and in compliance with funding requirements. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, colleagues and key stakeholders Previous experience in budget and financial management A Current Driver’s Licence Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
