Operates electric forklift and electric pallet jack to move pallets of merchandise. Ensure delivery vehicles are secured and safe. Transfers merchandise from delivery vehicles to receiving dock when required. Completes receiving process when required including qty, quality, and food safety checks. Use of IT systems. Reviews invoicing of received goods when required Moves pallets of merchandise in and out of the steel. Removes empty pallets from the sales floor. Outdoor work required in pallet yard when required Maintains safety and organisation of receiving dock when required Takes direction from merchandise manager, department manager, duty manager and supervisors. Wrap and tag pallets securely and accurately. Assists with stocking pallets. Clears sales floor of debris. Provides prompt and courteous member/customer service. Helps members to load large items in their cart and vehicles, directs members to products and information needed. Non-Essential Functions and Tasks: Assists with front end duties as necessary. Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary. Essential requirements. Must have a current forklift licence. Relative and recent experience in forklift operation is required.
