Cyber Security Architect Contract to 26/02/2027 | Carseldine | Hybrid working We are partnering with a leading Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Cyber Security Architect. In this role, you will provide cyber security architectural services, bridging the gap between business needs, complex business problems and technology approaches. This role will discover, design, develop and oversee the implementation of secure ICT controls and systems, aligned to recognised frameworks across governance, risk and compliance (GRC) Key Responsibilities: Discover existing information and data architecture across multiple domains including business, information, application and technology. Design architectural roadmaps for migration from existing current state to agreed future state. Conduct security assessments, risk analysis to assess existing control environments, identifying areas for improvement. Provide input into the development of business requirements to support the future state architectural design. Provide strategic advice on technical directions, security best practices and alignment to industry-recognised standards and frameworks. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including ACT Program colleagues (Project Managers, Business Analysts, Cyber Security Specialists, and Change Managers), Enterprise Architects, and business & technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Provide procurement support, as required, including the provision of security and non-technical requirements to the procurement activity and the evaluation of vendor responses What we’re looking for? CISSP and SABSA certifications are mandatory. 10 years of proven experience providing advice, assurance, and delivery of architectural designs for large enterprise solutions. 5 years of experience defining and implementing security strategies in large, diverse organizations. Extensive experience with security standards including ISO 27001, Essential 8, IS18, and the ISM. Familiarity with Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture (QGEA) policies and frameworks is highly regarded. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex security concepts for varied stakeholder groups. Why apply through Lime Recruitment?
