About the Role Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this is a hands-on, standalone WHSE role offering autonomy and variety across both office and site environments, with the opportunity to grow and lead a team. With strong ISO accreditations across Health & Safety, Environment, and Quality, they are now seeking a WHSE Lead to drive continuous improvement of systems and work closely with site teams to ensure successful implementation, supporting their expanding operations. While currently a standalone position, there are plans to expand the team to assist with site-based WHSE responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Maintain, review, and update HSEQ systems and policies in line with ISO accreditation standards Conduct internal audits, inspections, and toolbox talks to ensure compliance and continuous improvement Oversee incident reporting and investigations, ensuring corrective actions are followed through Support tender submissions and client documentation requirements Liaise with Tier 1 and government clients on safety and quality matters Promote a positive HSEQ culture across the organisation and project teams Provide reporting and updates to senior leadership on performance and compliance Skills & Experience Experience in a similar WHSE position within civil construction or infrastructure Experience in site-based WHSE responsibilities and system improvements Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum) or equivalent qualification Strong practical knowledge of ISO 45001, 9001, and 14001 standards and experience in audits and compliance Strong understanding of WHS legislation and practical application in a construction or utilities environment Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and influence at all levels Excellent communication skills and confident engaging with both office staff and site crews Culture This company offers a supportive, down-to-earth environment where initiative is valued and development is encouraged.
