Parkville Tavern is seeking a permanent part-time Gardener / Handyman to help maintain the venue’s large historic grounds and outdoor spaces. This role is key to ensuring our beer garden remains a welcoming space for guests and the children’s playground stays safe and compliant . Key Responsibilities Maintain lawns, garden beds, and heritage grounds (mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, mulching) Conduct routine playground safety checks and maintain impact surfaces Keep outdoor areas clean and presentable for patrons Perform minor repairs and general maintenance (furniture, fences, gates, equipment) Maintain gardening tools and assist with venue upkeep tasks Support outdoor events when required Requirements Minimum 12 months gardening or groundskeeping experience Ability to work independently and take pride in presentation Practical handyman skills highly desirable RSA or Approved Manager license advantageous but not essential About the Role This is a hands-on position suited to someone reliable, proactive, and passionate about maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.
