About the Role We are searching for a Safety Advisor to join our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) Team at our Cooljarloo mine site, located near Cataby, approximately 190km north of Perth’s CBD. This position is on a 9 day fortnight with every 2nd Friday off. Live locally in the Shire of Dandaragan or stay at our camp accommodation and drive home at the end of your working week. As an expert in Health and Safety, you will play a key role in fostering a sustainable occupational safety culture. Your ability to effectively engage with site management, leaders, and the broader workforce will be crucial in aligning actual work practices with planned safety protocols. Your primary responsibilities will include: Participate in the development and leads the implementation of safety strategies aligned with the SHE business plan and relevant legal requirements Implements risk assessment techniques and analyses, contributing to the identification, elimination, and control of workplace hazards Contributes to the development of plant SHE programs including safety manuals/ materials. Participates in the development, implementation, and monitoring of critical controls. Interprets and advises on complex / specialised SHE regulatory and business standards. Maintains system, process, and data to monitor and report on safety and health performance to meet internal and external needs in a timely and accurate manner Partakes in audits to ensure compliance with standards and contributes to the recommendation of actions Lead and support investigations promoting reactive and proactive learning to build organisational resilience to adverse events. Conducts training and information sessions relating to a variety of SHE topics; Actively participates in, supports and contributes to the site SHEQ team. About you 5 years’ experience in a safety advisor role in a similar industry - strong preference for experience in mining industry - safety or operations. Certificate IV or higher in Work Health & Safety - Essential Hands on experience in incident investigation and reporting Experience applying ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method) - highly desirable Strong understanding of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) best practices. Sound knowledge of Risk Management philosophies and implementation Excellent report writing skills Valid Class ‘C’ driver’s license required Why Join Tronox?
