About the Role This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and finance functions, ensuring the smooth operation of accounts payable, receivable, and financial administration processes. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing supplier relationships, and contributing to continuous improvement within our finance function. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including purchase orders and supplier payments Support accounts receivable and invoicing functions Assist with bank reconciliations, credit card management, and general banking tasks Contribute to month-end processes including journal preparation Maintain accurate financial records and data entry Manage vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Assist with supplier and provider performance tracking Provide support across payroll, AP/AR, and administration as required Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial controls Support continuous improvement and administrative processes across the business About us We are one of Australia’s most successful Aboriginal business that is 100% owned by members of the traditional owner group Eastern Guruma. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Degree or certification in Accounting, Finance or related field Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident Minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable or similar accounting role Experience working in an SME environment (mining, civil, services or Indigenous business highly regarded) Strong knowledge of financial processes and accounting systems Experience with systems such as MYOB EXO, Xero, Lightyear, or similar Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills High level of professionalism, integrity, and commercial awareness Why Join Eastern Guruma?
