Our client, a local QLD Council, is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality engineering outcomes across land development projects. You'll play a key role supporting the assessment and approval of development applications and ensuring compliance with Council standards and statutory requirements. $58.06 - $64.45 p.h Super 3 month assignment with possibility of extension Full time hours (Mon-Fri) Logan QLD 4114 This role involves: Processing and assessing development applications in line with statutory timeframes Reviewing engineering reports and drawings (roadworks, stormwater, sewer and water systems) Conducting site inspections to ensure construction aligns with approved plans and specifications Liaising and negotiating with developers and consultants on engineering matters Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to provide expert engineering advice Preparing reports, recommendations and correspondence related to development applications Calculating quantities and rates for construction-related contributions and credits Supporting the development and review of design standards, policies and procedures The ideal candidate will have: Strong experience in land development, particularly roads, drainage and geotechnical engineering Demonstrated expertise in stormwater design, including detention and bio basins Ability to interpret engineering reports, drawings and assess compliance with approvals and standards Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills Knowledge of Queensland Local Government legislation Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or related highly regarded Experience with CAD and drainage design software highly regarded Current "C" class driver's licence If this sounds like you and you're interested in the role, please apply now - I look forward to hearing from you!
