This is a Planning Manager role with UM Australia based in Sydney, NSW, AU UM Australia Role Seniority - mid level More about the Planning Manager role at UM Australia About the job The Planning Manager is responsible for delivering market-leading implementation planning that ensures our clients' media plans achieve business outcomes. You'll lead the development of Planning Recommendations and Plans, collaborating with Trading to ensure accurate pricing and alignment with client objectives. This role involves working with internal teams (Strategy, Connections Design, BUs) and media partners to create best-in-market solutions, monitor campaign performance, optimize as needed, and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate with a strong knowledge of the Australian landscape and a curiosity to learn about media & marketing science, experience with media planning tools, and excellent communication and collaboration skills. Manages and leads planning outputs across all channels; Supports the Senior Planning Manager and Planning Director by managing day to day workflow, ensuring team WIPS are scheduled and actions allocated responsibilities post WIP Drives a collaborative approach with all UM departments including BUs to develop best in class media solutions. Provides accurate reconciliation of Connections Plans after invoicing occurs. Leads/assists with planning recommendations (in collaboration with Trading Managers) for day-to-day campaign optimisations to ensure delivery against business outcomes. Who you are Experience in media planning, commercial solutions, or integrated media roles. Competent skills in creating best practice and market leading implementation planning responses Strong commercial acumen and confident negotiation capability. Excellent relationship management and communication skills. Strong organisation skills with attention to accuracy to adhere to agency finance processes.
