Our client, a local council requies two experienced Property Services Officers to assist the Building maintenance Supervisor to ensure the ongoing maintenance and presentation of Council's facitilies. Vacancies available: 1 x Vacancy commencing ASPA - open ended placement 1 x Vacancing commencing - 13th April - 11th September To be considered you will have: Highly developed maintenance/general handy man skills and previous experience in the building industry. Ability to undertake maintenance work, manual handling, work with power tools and use own initiative. Developed interpersonal and customer relations skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Must be physically capable to undertake the work including working at heights. Basic computer skills. WA Driver's licence, Working at Heights Certificate and First Aid qualification (ideally) Ability to attain a level 3 Playground Safety Auditor Certification. Duties will include: Undertake inspections and maintenance of all City playgrounds and park furniture as directed and ensure that they meet the relevant City standards and Australian Standards. Assist the Building maintenance Supervisor to undertake playground and park furniture maintenance. Undertake inspections of all lighting systems within the parks and car parking areas under the management of the City. Undertake the removal of graffiti from Councils Assets and any other duties as requested by the Manager City Operations or Building Maintenance Coordinator. Assist in the updating of the Building Maintenance Team Work Instructions and Corporate documents as required. Exercise a duty of care to understand the need to work in a safe and efficient manner having regard to own safety and that of other workers.
