We are currently seeking a Purchasing Officer for a leading manufacturer of customisable portable building solutions for the mining and heavy industrial sectors. Based in Grass Valley, this role is essential in coordinating procurement activities and supporting the production team to ensure materials, supplier information, and documentation are available to keep projects running efficiently and delivered on time. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the successful candidate will maintain procurement records, manage supplier relationships, and support production documentation requirements. They will work closely with production staff, the estimating team, and warehouse personnel to ensure materials, components, and documentation are available as required, while supporting cost control, process efficiency, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Procure materials, components, and services to support fabrication and production schedules Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records in NetSuite Coordinate production documentation, including supplier documentation and safety data information Liaise with workshop, production, estimating, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth workflow Support quality assurance, compliance, and document control processes Key Requirements Strong organisational and coordination skills with high attention to detail Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external suppliers Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial procurement is highly desirable Familiarity with ERP systems and confidence using the Microsoft Office suite This role will work closely with the leadership team and is based in a newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility.
