This role provides an opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to utilise advanced clinical expertise, mentorship and leadership to deliver high-quality patient care, support clinician development, and contribute to service improvement, education and research. About This Role Your new role: As a Senior Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapy, you will deliver specialised clinical services for patients with hand and upper limb injuries while providing clinical leadership across the Occupational Therapy service. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will apply advanced clinical judgement to complex cases, mentor less experienced clinicians and contribute to the ongoing development of evidence-based clinical practices and service models. Key Responsibilities Deliver specialised assessment and treatment for patients with hand and upper limb injuries Apply advanced clinical reasoning to manage complex cases with a high level of independence Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to Occupational Therapists and allied health assistants Act as a key clinical reference point for Hand Therapy About You You are an experienced Occupational Therapist with advanced clinical expertise in hand and upper limb rehabilitation. About Us Occupational Therapy services are managed within the Division of Allied Health and Rehabilitation Services and are provided across two geographical sites: Woolloongabba and Wynnum West. The PAH Occupational Therapy Department provides services to the Geriatric Assessment and Rehabilitation Unit, Brain Injuries Rehabilitation Unit, Spinal Injuries Unit, medical and surgical wards, cancer services, cardiac services, orthopaedics wards, outpatients (including hand therapy and lymphoedema), the Security Unit and Mental Health as well as offering a rotation to the community and oral health service - MAPS. The department aims to provide high standard services across the continuum of care with consumer participation, occupation based holistic care, evidence based clinical practice, research and evaluation, and education being integral to the work of the department.
