About the Job There is an exciting opportunity with the Parks & Gardens team for a General Hand - Horticulture. This position is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and presentation of parks, reserves and associated infrastructure. The role involves performing a diverse range of horticultural and grounds maintenance tasks under limited supervision, either individually or as part of a team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform work under limited supervision either individually or in a team environment Operate a range of small plant and equipment Monitoring, maintenance and construction of council infrastructure Perform a diverse range of Horticulture maintenance tasks Maintain appropriate documentation as directed by the Parks and Reserves Supervisor Maintain all associated plant and equipment relevant to position Participate in on the job training in liaison with the Supervisor Parks and Reserves Operations Any other duties as required This is a full time position, working 85 hours per fortnight.
