Great opportunity for an experienced Chef to join the growing kitchen team at Lakes & Ocean Hotel, located in Forster, NSW. Applicants must have strong experience in busy kitchens, be capable with fast paced, high volume service, take pride in food presentation and be effective in a busy team environment. Key Requirements are: Train junior kitchen staff Hard working and organized, team player with positive attitude Ability to manage your own sections and deliver a consistently high standard of food throughout service Duties: Managing inventory of stock and ordering raw material Controlling budgets and minimizing wastage Cook food for per menu of the hotel Maintaining health and hygiene in the kitchen Organizing duty roster of the staff Take pride in food presentation, always ensuring top quality Good communication skills (verbal and written) Food Hygiene compliance, knowledge and practices Availability for rotating roster across Mon to Sun. Job will require approx. 38 hrs per week. Completed Trade Qualification Qualifications required - Relevant AQF Associate Cert IV in Comercial Cookery and Diploma degree. Alternatibvely, at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications. Permanent Full Time role.
