We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team at The Carrington in Shepparton, Victoria. The Carrington operates 7 days a week, 7am to 9pm and operates all traditional hotel facilities; Restaurant, Cafe, Bar, Bistro, and Function Room. In this full time position at The Carrington you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality, creative meals that delight our guests and enhance their overall dining experience. ⏳ Working Hours: 38 hours per week, with reasonable additional hours as required, in accordance with the applicable award or employment agreement. Key Responsibilities ·Preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes from our diverse menu ·Ensuring all meals are cooked to the highest standards of quality and presentation ·Collaborating with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes ·Maintaining a clean, organized and efficient work environment in the kitchen ·Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations ·Assisting with stock management and ordering of necessary supplies ·looking after the kitchen when the head chef is off Required Skills & Qualifications Candidates must have completed at least Certificate IV or anything comparable and the preferably with below: ·Proven experience as a Chef/Cook in a hospitality or restaurant setting or looking to start your hospitality career. ·Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals ·Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices ·Well Groomed individual ·Excellent time management and multitasking abilities; punctuality and reliability ·A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills ·Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays Interested candidates should submit their resume and cover letter to: Email: info@thecarrington.net.au Post: 505 Wyndham Street, Shepparton Vic. 3630
