Residential Chef Full Time | Monday to Friday | $85,000-$90,000 Super An excellent opportunity is available for an organised and reliable kitchen professional to step into a full-time Monday to Friday role within a residential setting. 38 hr week. This position would suit an experienced chef looking for greater balance, autonomy and consistency, while still working a hands role in the kitchen. With no late-night service, structured hours and the opportunity for extended downtime across university holiday periods, this is a rare role for someone seeking long-term stability and a strong work-life balance. You will take ownership of the day-to-day kitchen operation, ensuring residents are provided with well-prepared, nutritious and consistent meals throughout the week. The Role Reporting into the Director or Facilities Manager, responsibilities will include: Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and prep areas Planning menus and preparing evening meals Monday to Friday, with Saturday evening meals pre-prepared in advance Ensuring sufficient breakfast, lunch and snack provisions are available daily for residents Managing stock control, ordering and supplier deliveries Maintaining cost control systems and working to budgeted food cost targets Reviewing food safety procedures and ensuring high standards of hygiene and compliance are met Making recommendations regarding the purchase of new kitchen equipment through the Director or Facilities Manager Supporting with other kitchen-related duties as required, including baking, meal preparation, cleaning or consultation for off site catering.
