Located in the historic town of Yass, the Club is an easy 45 minute drive from Canberra’s CBD, enjoyed by both local members and their guests. We are looking for a Cook to join our kitchen team. Job Tasks and Responsibilities As the Cook, your role will include but not limited to the following: Monitoring the quality of food items Setting cooking equipment at the right temperatures Preparing, cooking, and seasoning food Plating dishes, ensuring dishes are at the correct portion and follow special dietary requirements Ensuring food are stored at the right temperature to maintain preservation Assisting Chefs with menu planning Assisting Chefs with the supervision and training of kitchen staffs Skills and Qualification: Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and improve Excellent communication, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills A team player with positive attitude Motivated with a strong work ethic and reliable nature Impeccable attention to detail Previous experience in a fast paced, high-volume restaurant recommend Experienced in the field Have a personal desire to succeed and genuine desire to be the best Flexible availability across 7 day a week operation Prior restaurant experience necessary
