The Role: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will take primary responsibility for the lifecycle of engineering designs, from conceptual sketches to final fabrication drawings. This role requires a blend of high-level technical analysis and practical manufacturing support to ensure their market-leading integrity. Key Responsibilities: Design Execution: Produce high-quality mechanical and structural designs that strictly adhere to project specifications. 3D Modelling: Utilize Autodesk Inventor to create complex designs and structural models. Technical Validation: Perform comprehensive engineering and drafting checks, ensuring all work meets rigorous company standards. Change Management: Coordinate Engineering Change Notices (ECN) in collaboration with Project Engineers. Manufacturing Support: Act as the technical point of contact for the Production Department to resolve manufacturing queries promptly. Documentation: Compile supporting calculations and maintain the integrity of the controlled technical document database. What You Bring: Qualifications: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline. Experience: A minimum of five years’ professional experience within a heavy machinery engineering environment. Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in 3D design software (Autodesk Inventor) and the ability to perform structural integrity analyses. Professionalism: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering tasks effectively and efficiently. Communication: Ability to proactively participate in technical meetings and manage internal and external client expectations.
