Lead digitisation of government records, ensuring compliant conversion and defensible disposal while improving workflows and reducing paper storage ASAP start, end 30/06/2026 Rate $750 - $1000 inc /day Brisbane CBD Location, hybrid The Records Digitisation Specialist leads the planning and implementation of digitisation processes that enable physical records to be securely converted into compliant digital formats. The role focuses on establishing defensible disposal practices, improving records management workflows and supporting the transition from paper-based processes to efficient digital information management. Working closely with records, legal, and technology stakeholders, the position ensures digitisation activities meet regulatory and governance requirements while enabling consistent, auditable processes across the organisation. You will be responsible for: Digitisation Program Delivery: Plan and implement processes for converting physical records into compliant digital formats, ensuring quality assurance, traceability and alignment with relevant standards and legislation. Process Design and Governance: Develop, document and implement procedures that support digitisation, storage and defensible disposal of source records. Establish monitoring and audit processes to ensure ongoing compliance. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with records management teams, legal stakeholders, project delivery teams and external service providers to ensure digitisation activities meet operational and regulatory requirements. Operational Enablement: Develop guidance materials and training to support teams adopting new digitisation processes and workflows. Promote best practice digital records management across the organisation. Vendor and Service Coordination: Collaborate with external digitisation and records storage providers to ensure services are delivered in line with agreed standards, processes and governance requirements. YOU Experience working in records management, archives, information governance or a similar discipline within government or a regulated environment. Demonstrated experience implementing digitisation programs compliant with Queensland State Archives standards. Formal qualifications or equivalent professional experience in Records Management, Information Management or Library/Archives. Experience working with digital records systems or information management platforms such as SharePoint, Content Manager (TRIM) or similar tools.
