An opportunity is now available for an experienced Customs Classifier to join their busy Customs team. Key Responsibilities Accurately classify and value import and export shipments for customs clearance Prepare and lodge customs declarations in compliance with Australian regulations Ensure shipments are cleared within agreed timeframes and KPI requirements Maintain accurate data entry and update operational systems Liaise with internal teams, customers and government authorities regarding customs matters Respond to queries promptly and professionally Assist with general brokerage operations when required Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders Skills & Experience Experience in customs entry preparation and tariff classification Strong knowledge of Customs Tariff, valuation and government regulations Experience using ICS and Expedient systems Good understanding of international freight shipping terms Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel and Word) Excellent communication and customer service skills Personal Attributes High attention to detail and accuracy Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team Customer-focused mindset Strong organisational and time management skills Reliable with a strong work ethic What’s on Offer You will be rewarded with a competitive salary package, excellent working conditions and the opportunity to develop your career within a well-established global organisation .
