PaediatricOccupational Therapist Location: Melbourne Metro · Type: Permanent Part-time· Salary: ð° $85,000 - $110,000 FTE (pro rata): Start timeframe: Flexible Why join us Kids Play Therapy is a growing paediatric allied health service providing creative, play-based early intervention for children aged 1 to 12. Our multidisciplinary team supports children and families through a warm, relationship-focused approach that blends therapy, play, and creativity. We work across homes, schools, kindergartens, and community settings across Melbourne Metro. We are seeking an energetic and motivated Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team for 3 days per week . This role involves delivering evidence-based, child-centred OT services in natural environments, working closely with families, educators, and our multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities Deliver individualised occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children with developmental, sensory, physical, and daily living skills. Develop goal-based therapy plans in collaboration with families, educators, and other clinicians to promote independence in daily activities and participation at home and school. Provide meaningful parent and caregiver coaching, training, and education to embed strategies into daily routines. Contribute to inter-disciplinary case conferences, communicate clear progress reports, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. Design and implement group programs, school visits, and community outings as required to support functional outcomes. Participate in quality improvement, data collection for outcomes measurement, and practice development activities. Skills and qualifications Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration. Minimum 3 years' experience preferred; clinicians with 3 - 11 years encouraged to apply. Demonstrated expertise in pediatric assessment, sensory integration approaches, fine/gross motor development, and functional strategies. Strong communication, teamwork, and parent coaching abilities, with capability to lead case discussions when required. Ability to work flexibly across clinic, home, and school settings and adapt therapy to diverse needs. Driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally for school or home visits.
