About the Role: Brimbank - We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Worker, to deliver a high quality of to our clients both elderly people on homecare packages and disabled people of all ages, living in their own private homes in the city of Brimbank council. Role responsibilities: High care needs client requiring assistance in personal care, hoist, manual handling competent, domestic assistance, varied shifts - weekdays daytime and potential weekends. Support clients in our community needing assistance with social support, transport to appointments, shopping or community outings. Provide personal care to clients with dignity and respect such as assisting with showering, grooming and dressing. Continue to support clients to live in their own home by providing help with their domestic assistance, meal preparation, cleaning and most importantly, companionship. The successful candidate is to be located in the City of Brimbank is a MUST Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is highly MUST. Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training. Experience in either aged care or community is highly desirable. Experience with high care and dementia clients is highly desirable. Experience with bowel care and catheter care is highly desirable. A valid driver's license and own vehicle is a MUST. Current First Aid certificate (mandatory) or willing to obtain. Current Police Check (mandatory) or willing to obtain. NDIS Worker screening check or willing to obtain. Working with Children Check or willing to obtain.
