About the role As the Cook at Bass Valley Uniting Early Learning, you’ll play a key role in supporting children’s health and wellbeing through nutritious, balanced meals—all during regular weekday hours with no nights or weekends . You’ll be responsible for planning menus, shopping, budgeting, and preparing meals that cater to diverse dietary needs. You’ll also maintain a clean, safe kitchen in line with food safety standards and support the centre’s healthy eating program. About you We are seeking an experienced cook with a knowledge of food safety and the necessary records to be maintained. It’s Ok if you don’t have experience in a childcare centre, but you are definitely passionate about children’s health and wellbeing through nutritious, balanced meals. You know your way around a computer, including Microsoft Office and the internet, and you will hold or be willing to obtain a current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
