About the Client Join our team at a leading food production site in Lidcombe. Enjoy a supportive crew, fast-paced work, and reliable hours. Specialising in fresh ingredients, ready-to-eat salads, and convenience foods supplied to major retailers. Role Overview • Shift Options: Morning and afternoon shifts available • Environment: Chilled workroom (1-4°C) • Roster: 5 days, Monday to Friday with extra shifts available on Saturday • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 5-20 kg, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment Key Responsibilities • Preparation & Portioning: Measure, portion, and seal ingredients to maintain freshness • Labelling & Sorting: Accurately label products, ensure quality, and remove damaged stock • Knife Handling & Machine Operation: Operate labelling machines, vegetable cutters, and cryovac equipment; trim and sort vegetables with precision • Palletising & Packing: Pack finished products and prepare for dispatch • Tray Washing: Wash trays in a wet area involving some heavy lifting What We're Looking For • Australian birth certificate or passport required • Own reliable transport required (limited public transport) • Minimum 6 months in food production, packing, or manufacturing • PPE Compliance: Willingness to wear provided protective gear (jackets, gumboots, etc.) • Availability: Flexibility to work 4-5 shifts per week, up to 40 hours Benefits • Secure Work Environment: Safe and inclusive workplace • Ongoing Opportunities: Potential for permanent full-time roles for dedicated workers • Employee Perks: Discounts on health insurance, gym memberships, and retail outlets How to Apply Click QUICK APPLY or email michelle.comerford@awx.com.au or call 07 5654 5292 to find out more.
