Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer on a major new development Your new company A leading organisation delivering innovative large-scale technology infrastructure projects is expanding its engineering capability in Tasmania. As part of a major new development program, they require an Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of next generation facilities incorporating advanced electrical and control systems. Your new role You will act as the owner's engineer across the electrical and controls scope from late stage design through construction commissioning and handover. You will provide technical oversight, design management and on-site engineering support to ensure all works are delivered safely on time and in line with project objectives and technical standards. Key responsibilities include but not limited to the following: Managing detailed electrical and control design prepared by contractors and ensuring alignment with project requirements Reviewing electrical drawings, documentation and equipment selections for quality compliance and best practice Managing project documentation for electrical works, including RFIs variations, change control and site instructions. Conducting site inspections to verify installation quality compliance and progress Preparing ITPs and checklists to confirm equipment meets performance and contractual requirements Reviewing contractor ITPs and test documentation providing feedback or approvals Participating in QA inspections, including FATs commissioning and integrated systems testing What you'll need to succeed To be a successful candidate, you will possess the following: Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering At least three years project engineering experience across electrical HV utilities infrastructure or data centre environments. Strong understanding of electrical design principles and Australian standards with an ability to interpret drawings Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills High attention to detail in design testing and documentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders CAD skills, including SLDs and schematics, are desirable.
