About the role This is a full-time, fixed term position until 30 June 2027 located at Wollongong. GPH’s Bondi Response Program is part of a wider response which has been funded by the PHN/Commonwealth to provide support to the Jewish community following the recent terrorist events. The Mental Health Clinician will provide grief and trauma counselling to Jewish individuals living in the South Eastern NSW who are associated with the Jewish Community and have been impacted by the recent terrorist attacks. Support will be tailored to the individual’s need and may include assessment, psychological interventions and counselling support. Care coordination into additional appropriate services may also be offered. Identify as a member of the Jewish community with an understanding of the impact of recent events. (Hebrew speaking is desirable). 2. Current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist, Mental Health Nurse, or Occupational Therapist (accredited with OTA as meeting the Australian Competency Standards in mental health) OR Qualifications in social work and has (or willing to work towards) accreditation with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker OR Current (or eligible and willing to obtain) for clinical registration with PACFA as a Mental Health Practitioner or Certified Practicing and working towards OR Current (or eligible and willing to obtain) for Level 2, 3 or 4 membership with ACA. 3. Demonstrated experience in undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments and development of intervention plans in collaboration with consumers and their family and carers. 4. Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence-based therapeutic services.
