Power the Systems That Keep Our Water and Wastewater Operations Running About You You are an experienced electrical and control systems professional with strong expertise in PLC programming, motor starters and drives, switchboard systems, power factor correction, and demand management. You provide high-level technical advice on complex electrical and automation systems and have proven experience delivering and managing projects involving PLCs, RTUs, control cubicles, and communication networks. You are skilled in developing technical specifications, electrical design documentation, and organisational strategies, and can support the configuration and maintenance of local area networks and radio communications systems. About the position The Senior Engineer Electrical will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery and management of electrical power and water supply infrastructure, and technical support for PLC, VSD, optical fibre systems and instrumentation for Council’s water and waste assets. This is a permanent full-time position based in the Toowoomba CBD. The annual salary range for this position is $112,420.03 - $119,173.77 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation. How to be successful in this position Bachelor or Associate degree in a field relevant to Electrical Engineering, and substantial relevant experience. Demonstrated skills in the operation and programming of computer applications including PLC configuration, SCADA systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical infrastructure associated with pumping and monitoring of water and waste infrastructure. RPEQ Electrical, or evidence of progression towards achievement within 12 months is desirable. Excellent organisational, problem solving and research/analytical skills.
