Data Engineer / BI & Applications Specialist (Contract) – Melbourne (Hybrid) Looking for a hands-on Data & BI specialist who enjoys working across reporting, data engineering, and application support in a fast-paced environment. We’re supporting a leading organisation with a contract opportunity (6–8 months) covering a key role across data, reporting, and business-critical applications. What you’ll be doing Build and optimise Power BI & SSRS reports to support business insights Work with SQL Server & GCP to map and manage data pipelines Provide application support across core platforms (incident management, troubleshooting) Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and improve processes Support UAT, releases, and documentation to ensure smooth delivery Flexible to support and do occasional On Call support out of business hours What we’re looking for 1–5 years’ experience in Data / BI / Application Support roles Strong SQL Power BI (SSRS ideal) Exposure to GCP or cloud data environments Experience in production support / incident management Strong communication skills – able to bridge business & tech Why apply Broad, end-to-end role across data, BI, and applications High visibility with business stakeholders Hybrid (once settled into role) Melbourne
