Our client, a leading infrastructure and renewable energy contractor, is seeking a motivated Grid Connection Engineer to support the delivery of grid connection activities across large-scale renewable energy projects within the National Electricity Market (NEM). About the Role This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise in grid connection across solar, battery energy storage (BESS) and hybrid projects. Working closely with senior engineers, you will support power system studies, regulatory submissions, modelling coordination and commissioning compliance activities across the full project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities • Support grid connection activities from feasibility through to commissioning and generator registration • Assist with preparation of grid connection enquiries, GPS documentation and compliance submissions • Coordinate and review power system studies and grid connection deliverables • Contribute to modelling activities using PSCAD, PSS®E and/or DIgSILENT PowerFactory • Prepare technical reports, documentation and regulatory correspondence • Support commissioning activities including hold point testing and compliance validation • Liaise with internal teams, consultants and external stakeholders to support project delivery • Participate in meetings with AEMO, NSPs and project partners • Maintain awareness of NEM requirements and regulatory obligations Requirements • Degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering • 1–3 years’ experience in power systems, grid studies or renewable energy projects • Understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and grid connection processes • Exposure to commissioning and compliance activities • Experience with PSCAD, PSS®E or PowerFactory (desirable) • Strong analytical and technical reporting skills • Clear communication skills and a proactive attitude to learning Benefits • Exposure to major renewable energy and infrastructure projects • Mentorship and structured technical development • Opportunity to build specialist expertise in grid connection within the NEM • Supportive and collaborative team environment • Long-term career growth in the renewable energy sector How to Apply: 1.Complete the short online candidate registration form: https://zfrmz.com.au/sP3lVXadBxzQ63ExCfYZ 2.
