Type : Part-Time Term : Ongoing Position Details Education Assistant (Part-Time) Mater Christi Catholic Primary School is seeking a suitably qualified, creative and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant who has a strong pastoral care skill set and can demonstrate high levels of competency to be part of a progressive and dynamic Kindergarten Team. Mater Christi is a triple stream co-educational school catering for boys and girls from Early Learning (Pre—Kindy) to Year Six. Selection Criteria • Show full support of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education. • Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. • Assist with the implementation of the daily program under the direction of the teacher. • A demonstrated understanding of practice in a play based Early childhood environment. • Be relationship focused with strong interpersonal skills to provide exceptional learning and care to all students. • Demonstrate initiative, able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. • Maintain open communication with the classroom teacher about student learning and social and emotional about social observations. • Demonstrate competent ICT skills. • Understand the importance of contributing to the life of the school beyond the immediate classroom. Qualifications Required • Relevant experience and qualifications – Certificate 3 or Certificate 4 or equivalent.
