The role This is a senior, hands-on React Native position focused on building and evolving high-quality mobile applications across both iOS and Android. You will be working across the full mobile stack, contributing to UI development, performance, architecture, and overall product experience. What you’ll be doing Designing and building mobile applications using React Native, with strong exposure to Expo and its ecosystem Working across iOS and Android, ensuring consistency, performance and a native feel across both platforms Building clean, reusable components and scalable UI systems that support rapid iteration Translating product and design into intuitive, high-quality user experiences that make people say “wow” without even thinking about it Driving performance optimisation, smooth animations, responsiveness and stability across devices Working with APIs, state management and asynchronous data flows to create seamless app behaviour Identifying structural issues and technical debt, then solving them properly, not just patching Contributing to architecture decisions, navigation patterns and overall mobile system design Collaborating closely with product and design in a fast, iterative delivery environment Helping shape development standards, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies and release processes Tech environment React Native at the core of mobile development Expo for builds, tooling, rapid iteration and deployment Deep consideration of iOS and Android platform differences, behaviours and UX expectations Component-driven UI architecture with a focus on scalability and reuse Strong focus on performance, rendering efficiency and smooth user interactions Modern state management patterns and API integration approaches CI/CD pipelines supporting continuous delivery to app stores What they are looking for Strong commercial experience building and shipping mobile apps with React Native Hands-on experience with Expo across development, builds and releases A background in startup or scale-up environments where speed and ownership matter A developer who can solve problems but also step back and improve the system A strong eye for UI and UX, you care how things feel in the user’s hand Confidence across both iOS and Android environments A portfolio of apps you have built or contributed to, ideally live and in use Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute ideas, not just code Why this role stands out You will be building products people actually use Real influence over mobile direction and engineering quality Fast pace, high ownership, low ego environment A genuinely good team, smart, collaborative and grounded Sydney CBD location, 5 days in the office $170k super bonus If you are a senior React Native engineer who wants to build great products, work with a top team, and move at speed, this is a standout opportunity.
