Client Details This role is with a well-established organisation within the Utilities sector. The company is a medium-sized business that is committed to leveraging technology to enhance its operational efficiency and data capabilities. Description Lead end‑to‑end data migration across Finance systems, including strategy, design, execution, remediation, and quality validation. Architect, develop, and optimise scalable Azure/Databricks data pipelines and lakehouse solutions, improving performance, automation, and maintainability. Provide technical leadership across multi‑disciplinary teams, guiding engineers, analysts, and vendors while uplifting delivery capability and standards. Redesign and modernise existing EDA pipelines and data models, removing technical debt, enhancing reliability, and enabling trusted analytics and Power BI self‑service. Profile A successful Lead Data Engineer should have: Extensive hands on experience with Databricks. A successful track record leading large-scale data migration projects- ideally within Finance systems (nice to have). Strong hands‑on expertise in data engineering, including ETL/ELT design, data modelling, and integration patterns.
