We are seeking an engaging and passionate Full Time Chef to lead the Kitchen team. The chef will report directly to the Directors and oversee the daily operations of the venue to ensure continued growth and consistent over the daily operations of the venue and help continue its growth. Ensure consistent and smooth running of smooth production Ensure effective stock purchases, receipts and storage Ensure that working areas are always kept clean Assist other kitchen staff as need arises Supervise performance of kitchen staff to ensure proper activity Perform general administrative tasks and communicate to superiors Ensure that required standards are adhered to in the production and preparation of food – in quality, quantity and safety Work towards exceeding customer’s expectation by encouraging and promoting high level of service Ensure all customer complaints, enquiries and suggestions by customers are responded to accordingly Mentor and support members of the kitchen Conflict resolution between kitchen and staff. Report to management when escalation is required Create a supportive environment within kitchen and promote team spirit Oversee preparation of the kitchen cleaning rosters and supervise Ensure arrangement garnishes on dishes are consistent Assist in recruiting, hiring and training cooks
