Our client, Hedland Panel & Paint is looking for a Vehicle Painters & Panel Beaters to join their team. IN THIS ROLE AS VEHICLE PAINTER, YOU WILL: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary Select and mix paint colours to match specifications Apply paint to vehicles using a spray gun Ensure that paint is applied to vehicle evenly and without drips or runs Monitor drying times and make adjustments as necessary Clean and maintain spray guns and other equipment Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the required standard IN THIS ROLE AS PANELBEATER, YOU WILL: Assessing the extent of damage to a vehicle and determining the best course of action for repair Removing damaged parts and repairing or replacing them as necessary Using specialized tools and equipment to reshape and smooth out dents and other damage to the body of the vehicle Applying filler and other materials to repair damaged areas Sanding, priming, and painting repaired areas to match the rest of the vehicle Inspecting repaired vehicles to ensure they meet safety and quality standards Keeping accurate records of work performed and parts used Communicating with customers and other team members to ensure customer satisfaction Qualifications Relevant experience or qualifications for a similar role Australian Citizens & Permanent Residents only Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical stamina and dexterity to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
