Position: Motor Mechanic Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $76,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Coburg VIC 3058 Our client is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join their team located in Coburg, Victoria. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters. Maintain vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing damage. Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems. Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing. Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs. Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Contain costs by using manufacturer's warranties; evaluating service and parts options. Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Accomplish maintenance and organisation mission by completing related results as needed. Train and support floor staff in our systems and procedures Compulsory attendance to training events. Oversee quality of work within workshop Follow Worksafe procedures, Maintain Safety and ensure staff follow safety procedures Motivate and lead the floor team by way of strong leadership. Requirements: Certificate III and Certificate IV or higher in Automotive Technology At least (1) year of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic Valid drivers licence.
