We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner to join our Glass manufacturing operations team. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced tradesperson with strong mechanical rebuild, breakdown, and fault-finding skills. About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for rebuilding and testing machine mechanisms, attending mechanical breakdowns, and supporting production changeovers. Key Responsibilities Rebuild, assemble, and test machine mechanisms to ensure reliable operation Attend mechanical breakdowns and assist the team with fault finding and repairs Assist with machine job changes and changeovers Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions Work from engineering drawings and specifications Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping Hours of Work Day shift position Start time between 6:00am and 7:00am Finish time between 2:00pm and 3:00pm Flexibility is required, as reasonable overtime may be necessary to meet production and operational requirements Essential Requirements Hold a recognised Australian trade qualification ( Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering ) Full Australian work rights with no visa restrictions Ability to successfully pass a police check Willingness to undertake and pass drug & alcohol testing and medical assessments Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (glass manufacturing experience advantageous) Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively What We Offer Stable day shift hours Supportive team environment
