Must hold an active Baseline security clearance (or higher) 12-month CONTRACT with potential extension Hybrid working arrangement (2-3 days in Melbourne CBD) Daily rate: $950 (inc SUPER) ROLE OVERVIEW An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Security Business Analyst to join a high-profile Security Program initiative. This role will play a critical part in defining, analysing, and documenting business, security, and compliance requirements to support the successful delivery of obligations. Working in a hybrid environment , you will partner with business, security, and technical stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly captured, traceable, and aligned with Security Program, ISM, and defence security expectations. This position is ideal for a Business Analyst with experience in cyber security, compliance, governance, risk, or regulated delivery environments who can translate complex security frameworks into practical business outcomes. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Gather, analyse, and document business, security, functional, and non-functional requirements in support of security program delivery Work closely with stakeholders to understand current-state processes, systems, and controls , and define future-state requirements Translate Security Program obligations and ISM controls into clear, actionable business and functional requirements Maintain requirements traceability across defence domains, ISM controls, and program deliverables Develop and update process maps, workflows, business rules, and supporting documentation for security and compliance-related activities Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and risks , and support remediation planning through well-defined requirements Collaborate with Security Architects, delivery teams, system owners, and project stakeholders to ensure security requirements are embedded into solution design and implementation planning Support control design, validation, and implementation activities from a business analysis perspective Facilitate workshops, interviews, walkthroughs, and stakeholder discussions across business, technology, and security teams Produce high-quality project artefacts including business requirements documents, functional specifications, security requirements, traceability matrices, SOPs, and evidence documentation Support governance activities by providing requirements status updates, impacts, dependencies, and change assessments Maintain requirement baselines and manage requirement changes throughout the program lifecycle Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis practices, templates, and delivery processes within a security and compliance setting MORE ABOUT YOU Current Baseline Security Clearance is essential Proven experience as a Business Analyst in security, compliance, cyber security, risk, governance, or highly regulated environments Strong experience eliciting, documenting, and managing business and security requirements Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory or security obligations into practical business and functional requirements Experience working with stakeholders across business, technical, and security teams Strong skills in process mapping, requirements analysis, documentation, and impact assessment Familiarity with ISM, PSPF, and Defence accreditation or assurance processes Experience supporting audits, assessments, accreditation, or compliance activities Experience using SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence If this opportunity aligns with your expertise and aspirations, please apply!
